Hearthstone / Streamer setup

Bring Hearthstone into chat.

Anyone can read the public guides and leaderboards. Connect your Twitch channel when you’re ready to enable the bot and configure its commands.

1. Enable the feature and choose a player

Sign in with Twitch, enable the Hearthstone plugin in your bot settings, then open Hearthstone settings. Enable Hearthstone there and set Default player to the Battle.net display name you use on the leaderboards.

!db PlayerName reads the public rank cache without a Blizzard key. !rankprogress starts from the next stream’s opening snapshot. Players missing from our cache cannot be tracked yet.

2. Share your live deck with HDT

On Windows, install Hearthstone Deck Tracker and download the McBotem companion. Copy the DLL to HDT’s Plugins folder:

%AppData%\HearthstoneDeckTracker\Plugins\

Restart HDT and enable McBotem Deckstrings under Options → Tracker → Plugins. Open its config file, then copy your private ingest token from the dashboard’s Live Deckstrings panel into the token field. Keep that token private.

{
  "ingest_url": "https://api.mcbotem.com/api/hearthstone/deck",
  "token": "YOUR_PRIVATE_INGEST_TOKEN"
}

Save and reload the plugin. Switch your active deck or start a game, check the dashboard’s last synced deck, then try !deck in chat. If syncing fails, check HDT’s log: a 401 means the token is invalid; a 400 means the deck payload was rejected.

The download was built against HDT 1.53.2. It syncs deck data; it does not capture Battlegrounds match results or equipped trinkets.

3. Add cards, news and timers

For !hscard, the channel owner adds a Blizzard client ID and secret in Hearthstone settings. For news or jokes, open Timers and choose the Hearthstone news or joke message source.

News checks default to every five minutes while live. The first check establishes a baseline; only new articles are announced after that. Joke timers default to once an hour while live, with five chat messages required in the preceding five minutes.

4. Explore persistent player history

Public rank/rating observations are collected for Standard, Wild, solo Battlegrounds, Duos and Arena. Player history shows daily/weekly summaries and best observed standings in the current season without a Blizzard key or tracker.

Try !hsweek PlayerName eu standard or !duopeak PlayerName eu. UTC weeks begin Monday. History starts with collection, so yesterday or last week may initially be empty. The stream-only !rankprogress remains separate.
